Oct. 9, 2026—Cypress-Fairbanks ISD received a rating of Superior by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)’s School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) program, announced in August, marking the 24th consecutive top rating for CFISD.

Oct. 6, 2026—Cypress-Fairbanks ISD announced the launch of its new instructional framework, “Technology’s Presence & Purpose in Instruction.” Distributed to district families Oct. 1, the standards establish clear, districtwide expectations for digital device usage, prioritizing teacher-led instruction, hands-on learning and parent choice.

Aug. 27, 2026—Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and longtime community business partner Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union agreed on a renewal of their stadium naming rights agreement this summer, extending the partnership through June 2036.
