March 18, 2025—Representatives from Swenke Elementary School visited the staff at Lieder Elementary School on March 6 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership between the two campuses.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
Courtney Nespeca, Swenke principal, shared that Swenke has supported Lieder in the past, but wanted to make the partnership more official.
“At Swenke, we believe in the power of kindness and the importance of giving back,” Nespeca said. “We are proud to adopt Lieder, creating a special partnership where we can share out blessings and support for their students and staff. Together we are building a stronger community through generosity, connection and compassion.”
Jennifer Huffer, Swenke PTO president, signs an Adopt-a-School partnership agreement after the campus announced its official partnership with Lieder Elementary School on March 6.
Dinah McMichael, Lieder principal, expressed her gratitude to Swenke’s staff and PTO for their commitment to help support Lieder staff and students.
“Lieder is deeply grateful to be adopted by Swenke’s PTO,” McMichael said. “For more than a decade, the families of Swenke have generously partnered with us to provide Christmas gifts for families in need within our community. This past year, their commitment has grown even stronger, going above and beyond to support us by sponsoring student events and staff appreciation initiatives. We are truly thankful for our beautiful ongoing partnership with the compassionate and generous families of Swenke’s community.”
